Jan 6, 2026: Played some Expedition 33 today, and [NON-SPECIFIC SPOILER ALERT] I was caught off guard by an event. I'm absolutely loving the game, but wow, BRUH. And I love how the game world kind of opens up afterward and there's a few islands where you can get fun new outfits as if to say, "Hey, we just completely crushed you, here, have some fun playing dress up! Haha, we hope you keep playing our game!". Spitefully, it worked on me.
Jan 7, 2026: The battle system in this game is so fun. I can tell why it won so many game awards in 2025. [NON-SPECIFIC SPOILER AGAIN] Maelle's grief is such a wild thing to watch her work through. I can't even imagine being a teenager and having lost two families while living in this world where you either fight or die. I really am wondering about the world itself as the story moves on. Why did the Paintress start all of this? Was it some sort of punishment doled against humanity? Is it some sort of 'cleansing' of humanity off the natural forces of earth? But she apparently 'creates' life too, no? In the form of Nevrons. What exactly is going on here? I'm excited to continue playing and finding out.
Jan 11, 2026 So here I am, continuing to play through this incredible epic of a game, when there's a little Gestral Beach. And I go there, and see an entire parkour tower ascension minigame with the promise of a great reward at the end. So it takes 2 or 3 tries, but I'm determined to get this awesome reward. Hoping it's a weapon. I get to the top - boom. Gestrals partying and dancing. Instant dopamine hit. They are adorable, I love them. I approach the gestral at the top of the final set of stairs. He gives me....... a swimsuit for [SPOILER ALERT] Monoco.
